OpenStreetMap Workshops

University of Waterloo

When: Summer, 2015

Description

OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a world map that is collaboratively produced by users all over the world. OSM is a uniquely valuable source of information because it can be rapidly updated and improved upon by numerous individuals rather than by a single central source. GWB-UW has hosted a series of workshops aimed at teaching UW students and Kitchener-Waterloo citizens how to contribute to the continuing development of OSM. Specific topics covered were OSM basics, downloading data and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT).
